2026 Dogwood Valley Capital Campaign

Dogwood Valley Capital Campaign 2026

Finish the infrastructure. Finish the homes. Expand the hope.

Dogwood Valley by Rock Bottom Farms began with a simple, stubborn, faith-driven vision: build a tiny home community that’s nothing like “the system.” Not a warehouse. Not a revolving door. Not a program that forgets people the moment the paperwork is done.

We set out to create a working farmstead homestead—a place of hope, healing, and a place to grow from, the Rock Bottom Up—where people can reset their lives with dignity, purpose, and community around them.

Then COVID hit. Our original sponsor backed out, and we were left holding a partially completed project.

And we didn’t quit.

We kept moving. We’ve continued using Dogwood Valley by Rock Bottom Farms even in its partially finished state, doing the work we can with what we have. But if we’re going to serve more people safely and effectively, we have to finish what we started.

The Goal for 2026: Raise $200,000

In 2026, we’re raising approximately $200,000 to complete the main infrastructure and finish multiple tiny homes, so Dogwood Valley by Rock Bottom Farms can serve more people—better, safer, and with greater stability.

This campaign funds practical, make-it-real work, like:

Infrastructure That Makes the Community Possible

  • Electrical runs and service expansion
  • Water lines to multiple locations
  • Sewer connections to key areas
  • Site readiness, essential utility, and fencing placement

Housing That Creates Stability

  • Building and finishing tiny homes and housing structures
  • Making existing tiny homes livable, safe, and service-ready
  • Expanding capacity so we can help more neighbors at once

When infrastructure is incomplete, every step forward costs more time, more labor, and more patchwork fixes. Completing it unlocks everything else.

Why Dogwood Valley Matters

Dogwood Valley isn’t just “shelter.” It’s a place built for transformation.

Here, people don’t just survive—they rebuild:

  • Routine and responsibility
  • Work skills and hands-on training
  • Healthy community and accountability
  • Connection to creation—farm, land, animals, and purpose
  • A real shot at rebuilding from rock bottom up

One of the things that truly sets Dogwood Valley apart is that we welcome whole families—and the pets that are part of those families. Too often, people in crisis are forced to choose between staying together and getting help. At Dogwood Valley, we refuse to make people break apart in order to heal. We understand that children need stability, parents need dignity, and for many, a pet isn’t an accessory—it’s a source of comfort, responsibility, and unconditional love. By accepting families and people with pets, we preserve the bonds that matter most and create a more humane, realistic path forward. Healing happens best when families stay intact, routines remain familiar, and people are allowed to rebuild their lives without leaving their loved ones behind.

This is a place where folks can breathe again—and start growing again.

Independent Living Program & House

The Independent Living Program is a critical bridge between crisis housing and long-term stability. Designed for individuals who are ready for more responsibility and autonomy, this program provides a structured but self-directed living environment where residents can work, save, heal, and prepare for permanent housing. It is not a handout—it’s a hand up—focused on accountability, life skills, and forward momentum.

At the heart of this program is the Independent Living House, which is currently in active use but in urgent need of repairs and upgrades to better serve the individuals living there. We are seeking $25,000 (this is part of the $200,000) to address necessary improvements that will make the house safer, more functional, and more dignified for those committed to rebuilding their lives. These repairs include essential maintenance, livability upgrades, and improvements that support long-term success rather than short-term survival.

This program works in direct partnership with Dogwood Valley and The Found, our sober living program. Residents may enter through The Found, where they establish sobriety and stability, transition into the Independent Living House as they regain independence, and ultimately move on to Dogwood Valley’s tiny home community or permanent housing. Together, these programs form a continuum of care—meeting people where they are, supporting real growth, and reducing the risk of relapse, homelessness, or re-incarceration.

By investing in the Independent Living House, you are strengthening the entire ecosystem. This $25,000 investment doesn’t just fix a building—it reinforces a proven pathway from recovery to independence to community, ensuring that the people already doing the hard work have a place that supports their effort, dignity, and future.

Looking Ahead to 2027: The Lodge + Community Kitchen

Once the 2026 infrastructure and tiny homes are complete, our next major step is big:

2027 Vision

  • Main lodge
  • Community kitchen
  • A central hub for meals, meetings, training, mentoring, and community life

But we can’t build the lodge without finishing the foundation of the community first.

2026 is the year to complete the essentials.
